Tourism: Corona breaks the back of tourism business, cancellation of booking in hotels, many canceled including camel festival

 The effect of the growing corona epidemic in the world is also being seen on the tourist destinations of the country. Fair events are being cancelled. Bikaner's Camel Festival has been cancelled. The dessert festival of Jaisalmer is also in limbo. Goa, Rajasthan have been affected the most by Corona. There is a movement of domestic and foreign tourists here. But the tourism business has been ruined due to the sudden increase in new cases of corona and virus. Foreign tourists are not coming. Business is cool in Pushkar too.

At the very beginning of the Corona epidemic, a strong impact on tourism started showing. Now the situation is that booking in hotels is getting canceled continuously. Tours of the seashore and sandy soil dunes have been lost. The tourism and hospitality sector across the country is broken. Travel agents, escorts, guides etc. are also now adopting other ways of living. Bookings in hotels are being canceled in Goa since the New Year. Tourists are currently avoiding leaving their homes amid the deepening crisis of Omicron in the forts, hotels of Rajasthan. In such a situation, the hotel industry seems to be returning again in 2020. Goa is the center of tourist attraction during winters. But due to the latest explosion of Corona, the crisis of Goa's tourism industry has increased. About 15 to 20 percent bookings are being canceled in hotels here.

Travel plans canceled

 A representative of the tourism industry gave this information on Wednesday. According to the Health Department, 592 new cases of corona virus have been registered in Goa. With this, the infection rate has increased to 13.89 percent. Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) President Nilesh Shah said that with the rise in new cases of coronavirus, tourists have started canceling their travel plans to the state. “The cancellation rate for hotel bookings ranges between 15 and 20 per cent. People are avoiding travel due to restrictions related to coronavirus." Shah said he expected the situation to improve by next month.

 विश्व मे बढ़ रहे कोरोना महामारी का असर देश के टूरिस्ट डेस्टिनेशन्स पर भी देखा जा रहा है। मेले आयोजन रद्द हो रहे हैं। बीकानेर का कैमल फेस्टिवल रद्द हो गया है। जैसलमेर का डेसर्ट फेस्टिवस्ल भी अधरझूल में है। कोरोना का सर्वाधिक असर गोवा, राजस्थान पर पड़ा है। यहाँ देशी और विदेशी पर्यटकों की आवाजाही रहती है। लेकिन कोरोना ओमिक्रोन और वायरस के नए मामलों में अचानक वृद्धि से पर्यटन कारोबार जर्जर हो गया है। विदेशी पर्यटक नही आ रहे। पुष्कर में भी कारोबार ठंडा है। 

 पर्यटन पर तगड़ा असर

कोरोना महामारी की शुरुआत में ही पर्यटन पर तगड़ा असर दिखना शुरू हो गया। अब हालात ये है कि होटेलों में बुकिंग लगातार निरस्त हो रही है। समंदर की किनारे और बालू मिट्टी के दौरे सूने पड़े है। देश भर के टूरिज्म और हॉस्पिटेलिटी सेक्टर टूट सा गया है। ट्रेवल एजेंट्स, एस्कॉर्ट्स, गाइड आदि भी अब जीवनयापन के दूसरे तरीके अपना रहे है। गोवा में नए वर्ष के बाद से होटलों में बुकिंग रद्द हो रही है।वही राजस्थान के किले, होटलों में ओमिक्रॉन के गहराते संकट के बीच टूरिस्ट फिलहाल घर से निकलने में परहेज कर रहे हैं। ऐसे में होटल इंडस्ट्री को फिर 2020 जैसी स्थितियां लौटती दिखाई दे रही हैं। सर्दियों के समय में गोवा पर्यटकों के आकर्षण का केंद्र होता है। लेकिन कोरोना के ताजा विस्फोट से गोवा के पर्यटन उद्योग का संकट बढ़ गया है। यहां के होटलों में करीब 15 से 20 प्रतिशत बुकिंग रद्द हो रही है।

यात्रा की योजना रद्द 

 पर्यटन उद्योग के एक प्रतिनिधि ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी। स्वास्थ्य विभाग के अनुसार, गोवा में कोरोना वायरस के 592 नए मामले दर्ज किए। इसी के साथ संक्रमण दर बढ़कर 13.89 प्रतिशत हो गई है। ट्रैवल एंड टूरिज्म एसोसिएशन ऑफ गोवा (टीटीएजी) के अध्यक्ष नीलेश शाह ने कहा कि कोरोना वायरस के नए मामलों में वृद्धि के साथ पर्यटकों ने राज्य के लिए अपनी यात्रा की योजना को रद्द करना शुरू कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘होटल बुकिंग रद्द करने की दर 15 से 20 प्रतिशत के बीच है। लोग कोरोना वायरस से संबंधित प्रतिबंधों के कारण यात्रा से बच रहे हैं।’’ शाह ने कहा कि उन्हें अगले महीने तक स्थिति में सुधार की उम्मीद है।
