Why camel festival got angry with Ladera?

Why world famous camel festival got angry with Ladera?  This village, surrounded by far-reaching sandy dunes, won the hearts of all. The camel festival was also setting new steps slowly.

       Thousands of people have witnessed this unique festival and there are hundreds who are connected with their spirit. In the true sense, someone's mind is happy only when it is connected to the mind. There are also many people who come for this festival only to witness from the seven seas.

      People from other countries, including Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, are involved from many European countries. Many tourists participate in competitions. 

      Why camel festival got angry with Ladera? Everything was going well here till 2013. But there were some changes at the administrative level in the tourism department. Assistant Director Hanumanmal Arya had a good grip watching the camel festival for a long time. Ladera was also Arya's quest for the celebration.

           In 2013, he took voluntary retirement. The new assistant director Upendre Singh Shekhawat was then sent from Jaipur. In 2014, during the festive days, his tuning was seen sitting low in Ladera. However, they made better efforts. Aarti Dogra was the then Collector. During the camel festival there, more strictness was shown to the Melaris who were shown at the administrative level.

          There were some social activists in the fair, they also got a chance. Police lathiwar also happened. Due to this, the atmosphere of the fair gradually deteriorated. People involved in the fair brought sticks and other weapons. The soil was filled with empty bottles and thrown on native foreigners. The atmosphere deteriorated rapidly. There was a crisis to remove people from the fair in front of the administration. The district collector summoned RAC at night and got the fair somehow vacated. Then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje prohibited any kind of organizing on Bikaner. The festive period was also reduced to two days instead of three. In this way, the festival was reduced to the city by moving away from the beautiful sandy tracks.

लाडेरा से आखिर क्यों ऊंट उत्सव रूठ गया ?

बात फिर से लाडेरा की। दूर तक फैले धोरों से घिरे इस गाँव ने सब का दिल जीत लिया था। ऊंट उत्सव भी आहिस्ता आहिस्ता नए सोपान तय कर रहा था। इस अनूठे उत्सव के हज़ारों लोग साक्षी रहे है तो सैंकड़ों ऐसे है जो अपनी भावना से जुड़े है। सही मायने में उत्सव में किसी का मन तभी रमता है तब वह इससे मन से जुड़ा हो। अनेक लोग ऐसे भी हैं जो केवल इस उत्सव के लिए सात समंदर से साक्षी बनने के लिए आते है। कई यूरोपीय देशों से मसलन बेल्जियम, फ्रांस, स्वीट्ज़रलैंड, स्पेन, जर्मनी सहित अन्य देशों के लोगों की भागीदारी होती है। कई सैलानी प्रतियोगिताओं में शामिल होते है। बीकानेर आने वाले विदेशी पर्यटकों में पहले नंबर पर फ्रांस और दूसरे नंबर पर जर्मनी के सैलानी है।

    

        लाडेरा से आखिर क्यों ऊंट उत्सव रूठ गया ? यहाँ 2013 तक सब अच्छा चल रहा था। लेकिन पर्यटन विभाग में प्रशासनिक स्तर पर कुछ फेर बदल हो रहे थे। लंबे समय से ऊंट उत्सव को देख रहे सहायक निदेशक हनुमानमल आर्य की बढ़िया पकड़ थी। उत्सव के लिए लाडेरा भी आर्य की खोज थी।

 

         2013  में ही उन्होंने स्वेच्छिक सेवा निवृति ले ली। तब जयपुर से नए सहायक निदेशक उपन्द्रे सिंह शेखावत को भेजा गया था। 2014 में उत्सव के दिनों में ही उनकी ट्यूनिंग लाडेरा में कम बैठते दिखी। हालाँकि उन्होंने बेहतर प्रयास किये। तत्कालीन कलेक्टर आरती डोगरा थी। वहां ऊंट उत्सव के दौरान प्रशानिक स्तर पर दिखाई जा रही अधिक सख्ती मेलार्थियों को नागवार लगी। मेले में कुछ समाजकंटक भी थे उन्हें भी मौका हाथ लग गया। पुलिस लाठीवार भी हुआ। इससे मेले का माहौल धीरे धीरे बिगड़ने लगा। मेले में शामिल लोग लाठियां व् अन्य हथियार ले आये। खाली बोतलों में मिटटी भर कर देशी विदेशी लोगों पर फेंकी गयी। माहौल तेज़ी से बिगड़ा। प्रशाशन के सामने मेले से लोगो को निकालने का संकट हो गया। जिला कलेक्टर ने रात में आरएसी को बुलाकर मेला किसी तरह खाली करवाया। तब मुख्यमंत्री वसुंधरा राजे ने बीकानेर के धोरों पर किसी तरह का आयोजन करवाने पर रोक लगा दी। उत्सव की अवधि भी तीन दिन के बजाय दो दिन कर दी गई। इस तरह खूबसूरत धोरों से हटकर यह उत्सव शहर में सिमट गया।
