This Oxford family has its roots in Bikaner ! Today let me introduce you to such a family. The foundation of which was found in Bikaner. It can also be said that this family started in Bikaner. Friends, someone has rightly said that the real wealth of the person is his memories and that goes with him.

       story of Henson's mouth-family, she told that Major Grenvele, who lived in England, used to be the secretary of maharaja Ganga Singh, the Maharaja of Bikaner in the princely state. He spend the time between 1916 and 1924 in Bikaner.

  Henson states that Grenvele was his grandfather. He was also an instructor of Prince Bijay Singh of bikaner. Grenvele used to live in the Ganga Palace Palace of Bikaner. It was in this palace that Major Grenvele received a son. Whose name was John. Who was Johanna's father. In this family of Oxford, the names of Bikaner have been running for generations, this family belongs to Major Granvelle. It was only when Major's granddaughter Johanna was doing her MA in History during college time that she decided to one day discover all the memories of her family's foundation and grandfather.

      

       This desire brings him to Bikaner. Major Grenvelle had a special attachment with Rajasthan, which started in Bikaner itself. He was married to a British woman in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. This woman accompanied him to Ganga Mahal in Bikaner. This is where John was born. One of John's children is Johanna, born in Oxford. Johanna told me that in 1918 when Maharaja Ganga Singh visited Paris, two men accompanied him, one of them was Major Grenvele.

आज मैं आपको ऐसे परिवार से परिचित करवाता हूं। जिसकी नींव बीकानेर मेंं पड़ी। यह भी कहा जा सकता है कि इस परिवार की शुरूआत बीकानेर में हुई।  

     दोस्तों किसी ने सही कहा है कि व्यक्ति की असली दौलत उसकी यादें होती है और यही  उसके साथ चली जाती है। यूरोप के ऑक्सफोर्ड का वह कौनसा परिवार है जहां बीकानेर के नाम का जिक्र बार-बार होता है? यह परिवार है जोहाना हेन्सन का।

      

   65 साल की जोहाना हेन्सन अपने पूर्वजों की जड़े तलाशने के लिए कई बार बीकानेर आ चुकी है। जोहाना ने यहां बीकानेर में राजस्थान राज्य अभिलेखागार में जानकारियां जुटाई।

हेन्सन की जुबानी-परिवार की कहानी

जब बतौर पत्रकार-लेखक मेरी मुलाकात कुछ समय पहले हेन्सन से हुई तो उन्होंने बताया कि इंग्लैण्ड में रहने वाले मेजर ग्रेनवेले        रियासतकाल में बीकानेर के महाराजा गंगासिंह के सेकेट्री हुआ करते थे। उन्होंने 1916 से 1924 के बीच का समय बीकानेर में बताया था। हेन्सन बताती है कि ग्रेनवेले उसके दादा थे। वे प्रिंस बिजय सिंह के भी प्रशिक्षक थे। ग्रेनवेले बीकानेर के गंगा महल पैलेस में रहा करते थे। इसी महल में मेजर ग्रेनवेले को पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई थी। जिनका नाम जॉन था। जो कि जोहाना के पिता थे। 

     

        ऑक्सफोर्ड के इस परिवार में बीकानेर के नाम के चर्चे पीढिय़ों से चल रहे हैं  यह परिवार मेजर ग्रेनवेले का है। मेजर की पौत्री जोहाना जब कॉलेज समय के दौरान इतिहास में एम.ए कर रही थी तब ही यह निर्णय किया कि वह एक दिन अपने परिवार की नींव और दादाजी की सभी यादों को खोज निकालेंगी। यही चाह उसे बीकानेर खींच लाती है।

     बीकानेर में ही हुई शुरूआत

      मेजर ग्रेनवेले को राजस्थान से खास लगाव था। उनका विवाह राजस्थान के जोधपुर में एक ब्रिटिश महिला से हुआ। यह महिला उनके साथ बीकानेर के गंगा महल आ गई। यहीं पर जॉन का जन्म हुआ। जॉन की सन्तानों में एक जोहाना है जिसका जन्म ऑक्सफोर्ड में हुआ। जोहाना ने मुझे बताया कि वर्ष 1918 में जब महाराजा गंगा सिंह पेरिस गए थे तो दो व्यक्ति उनके साथ गए थे उनमें से एक मेजर ग्रेनवेले थे।
