The tourism business in the world has become hollow now. The first and second waves of Corona have affected the condition of the people associated with it. A large number of people have either become unemployed or are forced to take up other occupations. Hotels, travel agents, guides and tourism companies are now on the verge of ruin. 

The second wave of Corona is proving to be the more lethal. There has been a panic in the tourism business again. Centrally protected monuments across the country including Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri have been closed to tourists till May 15,  2021 due to the infection. 

The doors of the Taj Mahal have been closed again after opening for 207 days. The Taj Mahal was closed to tourists for 188 days last year. The second wave of Corona infection currently contains orders to keep the Taj Mahal closed for a month. People in Agra's tourism industry have raised questions on this.

There was a stir in the tourism sector as soon as the tweet of Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel regarding the Taj Mahal. Tourism entrepreneurs set to validate the veracity of the tweet. When ASI director Smarak NK Pathak issued an order to close the monuments by 15 May, speculations were closed. Superintendent archaeologist Dr. Vasant Kumar Swarnakar of Agra Circle told that all the monuments will remain closed. At present, there is a order for one month of detention The memorials will now be opened only after the order of the Ministry. 

The situation is also bad in many districts of Rajasthan, which are prosperous in terms of tourism. Tourism in other districts including Jaipur, Pushkar, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Mandawa, Bikaner, Sawaimadhopur has been broken. Those who were completely dependent on tourism are now thinking afresh.

 विश्व में पर्यटन कारोबार अब खोखला हो चुका है। कोरोना की पहली और दूसरी लहर के कारण इससे जुड़े लोगों की हालत पस्त हो गई है। बड़ी संख्या में लोग या तो बेरोजगार हो गए है या फिर अन्य धंधे अपनाने के लिए मजबूर है। होटल, ट्रेवल एजेंट्स, गाइड और पर्यटन कंपनियां अब बर्बादी के कगार पर है। कोरोना के दूसरी लहर अब और मारक साबित हो रही है। फिर से पर्यटन कारोबार में खलबली मची है। संक्रमण के कारण ताजमहल, आगरा किला, फतेहपुर सीकरी समेत देशभर के केंद्रीय संरक्षित स्मारकों को 15 मई 2021 तक पर्यटकों के लिए बंद कर दिया गया है।

 ताजमहल के दरवाजे 207 दिन तक खुलने के बाद फिर बंद हो गए हैं। बीते साल 188 दिनों तक ताजमहल सैलानियों के लिए बंद किया गया था। कोरोना संक्रमण की दूसरी लहर में फिलहाल एक महीने तक ताजमहल बंद रखने के आदेश हैं। इस पर आगरा के पर्यटन उद्योग से जुड़े लोगों ने सवाल उठाए हैं। ताजमहल को लेकर केंद्रीय संस्कृति मंत्री प्रहलाद सिंह पटेल का ट्वीट आते ही पर्यटन क्षेत्र में हड़कंप मच गया। पर्यटन उद्यमी ट्वीट की सत्यता को प्रमाणित करने में जुट गए। जब एएसआई के निदेशक स्मारक एनके पाठक ने 15 मई तक स्मारकों को बंद करने का आदेश जारी किया, तब कयास बंद हुए। आगरा सर्किल के अधीक्षण पुरातत्वविद डॉ. वसंत कुमार स्वर्णकार ने बताया कि सभी स्मारक बंद रहेंगे। फिलहाल एक माह की बंदी का आदेश है। मंत्रालय के आदेश आने के बाद ही अब स्मारक खोले जा सकेंगे। 

राजस्थान के अनेक जिलों में भी हालात खराब

पर्यटन के लिहाज से समृद्ध राजस्थान के अनेक जिलों में भी हालात खराब है। जयपुर, पुष्कर, जैसलमेर, उदयपुर , जोधपुर, मंडावा, बीकानेर, सवाईमाधोपुर सहित अन्य जिलों में पर्यटन की कमर टूट चुकी है। पर्यटन से जुड़े जो लोग इस पर पूर्णतः निर्भर थे अब वे नए सिरे से विचार करने लगे हैं।
