If you go for a trip to a big city, then you must see the museum there in main major places. There is also a gathering of tourists because the history of that city and many other things are given in that museum, but here is a city in Rajasthan is like a live museum. 

        

       This time here, the talk of Bikaner, a unique city in north-western Rajasthan. If you go out for a tour in this old city, the same pictures will run in your mind as one emerges while watching a live museum. The city of Bikaner boasts of its old history. At one time it was also called the country of camels.

       If you go out for a tour in the inner perk of this sparse city, you will feel that there is a new but old differ world here. Somewhere there are wooden pots where people are busy talking among themselves for hours, somewhere, people will also see you making bangle. People meet here discussing politics, country, region, home, society and all issues.

       However, due to Corona, the seats are lying vacant. The number of chowk-mohallas here is as many as that. A square also has more than one floor. Not only men but also women are not far behind here. They ahead in all social activities. At dusk, women will get to talk to each other on the old streets. There is a iron market in one part of this city where the knocking of iron throughout the day disrupts far-flung peace. I spoke many times to the tourists who came here from India and abroad.

       These tourists used to say that the streets of inner boundry Parkotas, the shops, the people talking among themselves, the entrance from one street to the other, the small houses, the entrance doors to the houses, the netting, the paan shops were all that we were old.          This city is also a heritage in itself, situated in the park of Bikaner. Here the small square mohalla is also like family, talking to each other, attending festivals, sharing in the popular sweets and snacks is the pastime here. The special thing is that people do not pay much attention to each other's financial situation here, just believe in love and harmony. Pata live till late night Milk and betel shops remain open late at night.

आप यदि किसी बड़े शहर में सैर-सपाटे के लिए जाते हैं तो वहां प्रमुख स्थलों में वहां के म्युजियम को अवश्य देखते हैं। वहां पर्यटकों का जमघट भी इसलिए लगता है, क्योंकि उस म्युजियम में उस शहर के इतिहास और बहुत सी अन्य बातों की जानकारी दी जाती है, लेकिन राजस्थान का एक शहर लाइव म्युजियम की तरह है। यहां इस बार बात उत्तर-पश्चिमी राजस्थान के एक अनूठे शहर बीकानेर की। यदि आप इस शहर में भ्रमण के लिए निकलेंगे तो आपके जेहन में वैसी ही तस्वीरें दौड़ेंगी जैसी कि किसी लाइव म्युजियम को देखने के दौरान उभरती है।

कहीं पाटे तो कहीं चूड़ी

 बीकानेर शहर अपने पुराने इतिहास को समेटे हुए हैं। किसी जमाने में इसे ऊंटों वाला देश भी कहा जाता था। आप इस अलबेले शहर के भीतरी परकोटे में भ्रमण के लिए निकलेंगे तो आपकों ऐसा अहसास होगा कि यहां एक नई दुनिया है। यहां कहीं लकड़ी के बने पाटे हैं जहां लोग आपस में घंटों तक बातों में मशगूल रहते हैं  कहीं व्यक्ति आपको चूड़ी बनाने में भी मशगूल दिखेगा। राजनीति, देश, प्रदेश, घर, समाज सभी मुद्दों पर चर्चा करते लोग यहां मिल जाते हैं। हालांकि वर्तमान में कोरोना के चलते पाटे खाली पड़े  हैं। यहां जितने चौक-मोहल्ले है उतने ही पाटे हैं। किसी चौक में एक से अधिक पाटे भी है। न केवल पुरुष बल्कि यहां महिलाएं भी पीछे नहीं है। सभी सामाजिक गतिविधियों में आगे रहती है। सांझ ढलने पर यहां पुरानी गलियों में बनी चौकियों पर महिलाएं आपस में बतियाती मिल जाएगी। इस शहर के एक हिस्से में ठंठेरा बाजार है जहां दिनभर लोहा पीटने की खटखट, दूर तक पसरी शान्ति को भंग करती है। मैने अनेक बार देश-विदेश से यहां आए सैलानियों से कई बार बातचीत की। इन पर्यटकों का कहना था कि परकोटे की गलियां, दुकानें, आपस में बतियाते लोग, एक गली से दूसरी गली में प्रवेश, छोटे-बड़े मकान, घरों में प्रवेश के दरवाजे, जाली-झंरोखे, पान की दुकानें सभी कुछ ऐसा था जो हम पुरानी कहानियों या किस्सों में देखते आए हैं। घर के आगे छोटी सी चौकी उस पर सब्जी की दुकान। अनेक ऐसे दृश्य थे जो दिल को छू गए।

अनूठे शहर पर कोरोना की मार 

्इन दिनों कोरोना की मार का असर इस लाइव म्युजियम बीकानेर पर भी पड़ा है। बीकानेर में जिला प्रशासन की सख्ती से, तेजी से बढ़ रहे कोरोना के मामलों के चलते लोग घरों में दुबकने के लिए मजबूर हैं। इन दिनों शहर की गलियां सूनी पड़ी है मेरी अनेक लोगों से मोबाइल पर बात हुई तो सभी का यही कहना था कि घरों में रहने की मजबूरी है, हालांकि मन नहीं लगता। पुराने शहर में हवेलियां भी बहुतायात में हैं। अनेक घर ऐसे भी है जो हवेली शैली में बने हैं। इन घरों में कलात्मकता देखते ही बनती है। 

रिझाता है यह लाइव म्युजियम

बीकानेर शहर की तासीर ही ऐसी है कि सैंकड़ों वर्ष बाद भी यह शहर लोगों को रिझाता है। यहां से अनेक लोग कोलकाता, दिल्ली, सूरत, मुम्बई से लेकर अमरीका, लंदन, ऑस्टे्रेलिया, फ्रांस सहित अन्य देशों में बस चुके हैं, लेकिन यह शहर और यहां की यादें लोगों को रिझाती है।

किताबों में भी न मिलेगी

बीकानेर के परकोटे में बसा यह शहर अपने आप में धरोहर है। यहां छोटे-छोटे चौक मोहल्ले भी परिवार की तरह है, एक दूसरे से बतियाना, उत्सवों में शरीक होना,  यहां के प्रचलित मिठाई-नमकीन में साझेदारी रखना यहां का शगल है। खास बात यह है कि लोग यहां एक दूसरे की आर्थिक स्थिति पर अधिक गौर नहीं करते, बस प्रेम और सौहार्द पर विश्वास रखते हैं। पाटे देर रात तक गुलजार रहते हैं दूध और पान की दुकानें देर रात खुली रहती है। होली पर लोक नाट्य रम्मतों से बीकानेर की विशेष पहचान है। यहां आपको देर रात में भी लोग मिल जाएंगे तो अलसुबह मन्दिरों में घंटी की आवाजें सुनाई देगी। शहर में एक-दूसरे से अधिक मेलजोल के कारण यहां कोरोना के रोगियों की संख्या भी तेजी से बढ़ी है। शहर के लोग कोरोना शान्ति की प्रार्थना कर रहे हैं। सभी लालायित है अपने चिर परिचित अन्दाज में जीने के लिए।
