The procession was inaugurated from the local fort

The procession was inaugurated from the local fort at the four-day International Maru Festival. In the procession, the students were wearing colorful urns on their heads, wearing Mangal Kalash, which was the center of attraction of the procession. There was a huge flood of people across the city to witness the procession. The procession across the road was greeted with fervor.

Groups of famous artists from different parts of the country showed their magnificent performances throughout the procession process and got them introduced to the diverse folk cultural traditions of India. On the way to the procession, the residents of the city stood at their houses and watched. Flowers were showered while celebrating the festival on the procession. Behind it, the caravan of 48 decorated camels of the Border Security Force and the Seema Sentinel sitting on it remained the center of attraction, while the melodious tunes on the Rajasthani songs on the band under the direction of the Band Master of Camel Mountains Band, the eighth wonder of the world, made the whole atmosphere Made it a bit like music.

Kalbeliya artists tied the knot

The procession reached the Poonam Singh Stadium, where the four-day International Maru Festival began with the Chief Guest District Collector Ashish Modi, Superintendent Dr. Ajay Singh, Jaisalmer MLA Ruparam Dhandev, Chairman Hari Ballabh Kalla duly leaving the golden colored balloons in the sky and Announced its launch. On the first day of the world-famous Maru Festival, many interesting competitions were held at Poonam Stadium and sandy sam dunes, in which Mr. The competition of tying desserts, Miss Mumal, Mumal-Mahendra and Safa or turban were the main ones. सुनहरे धोरो की धरती जैसलमेर में मरू महोत्सव की धूम है। चाँदनी रात में जैसलमेर गुलज़ार है। यहाँ अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय ख्याति प्राप्त चार दिवसीय 45वें मरु महोत्सव (Maru Mahotsav) की धूम मची है। कोरोना के चलते 2021 के फेस्टिवल में विदेशी सैलानी बहुत कम है। उत्सव के तहत स्वर्णनगरी जैसलमेर (Jaisalmer) के सोनार दुर्ग से आकर्षक शोभायात्रा के साथ की गई। इसका स्वागत स्थानीय लोगों ने भी किया। जिला कलक्टर आशीष मोदी (Ashish Modi), पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ. अजय सिंह (Ajay Modi), जैसलमेर विधायक रूपाराम धनदेव ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर इस भव्य शोभा यात्रा को रवाना किया। पूनम सिंह स्टेडियम (Poonam Singh Stadium) में समाप्त हुई, जहां कई रंग-बिरंगी प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया, जिसका देसी सैलानियों ने आनंद लिया।  

चार दिवसीय अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय मरु महोत्सव में स्थानीय दुर्ग से इस शोभायत्रा का शुभारम्भ किया गया। शोभायात्रा में छात्राओं ने रंग-बिरंगी पोशाक पहने हुए अपने सिर पर मंगल कलश धारण किये चल रही थी, जो शोभायात्रा का आकर्षण केन्द्र रही. शोभायात्रा को देखने शहर भर में जन सैलाब उमड़ आया. रास्ते भर का शोभायात्रा का जोश-खरोश के साथ स्वागत किया गया.

देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से आये मशहूर कलाकारों के समूहों ने शोभायात्रा के पूरे मार्ग में अपनी शानदार प्रस्तुतियां दिखाते हुए भारतवर्ष की वैविध्यपूर्ण लोक सांस्कृतिक धराओं से रूबरू कराया. शोभायात्रा के मार्ग पर नगर के वाशिंदें अपने मकानों पर खड़े होकर देख रहे थे। शोभायात्रा पर उत्सव का इजहार करते हुए फूल बरसा रहे थे. इसके पीछे सीमा सुरक्षा बल के 48 सजे धजे ऊंटों का कारवां एवं उस पर बैठे सीमा प्रहरी आकर्षण का केन्द्र रहे, वहीं, विश्व के आठवें अजूबे कैमल माउन्टेंन बैण्ड के बैण्ड मास्टर के निर्देशन में बैण्ड पर राजस्थानी गीतों पर मधुर धुनें पेश कर पूरे महौल को संगीत से सरोबार सा कर दिया।

कालबेलिया कलाकारों ने समां बांधा

शोभा यात्रा में सीमा सुरक्षा बल (Border Security Force) के बांके जवान दूल्हे की वेशभाषा पहने हुए एवं अपने हाथों में भाले लिये इतने सुन्दर लग रहे थे कि मेले मे शरीक हुए देसी सैलानियों ने अपने कैमरों मे कैद किया। शोभायात्रा में कालबेलिया कलाकारों द्वारा कालबेलिया नृत्य पेश किया गया. सैलानियों को इस महोत्सव में बहुत ज्यादा आनंद आया और उन्होंने भी उत्साह से भाग लिया. सैलानियों को इन प्रतियोगिताएं ने बहुत लुभाया।

शोभायात्रा पूनम सिंह स्टेडियम पहुंची, जहां चार दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मरु महोत्सव का आगाज मुख्य अतिथि जिला कलक्टर आशीष मोदी, अधीक्षक डॉ. अजय सिंह, जैसलमेर विधायक रूपाराम धनदेव, सभापति हरि बल्लभ कल्ला ने गोल्डन रंग के गुबारों को आसमान में छोड़ कर विधिवत आगाज किया एवं इसके शुभारंभ की घोषणा की। उन्होंनें आकाश में गुब्बारे उड़ाकर उत्सव को और सुशोभित कर दिया. शहीद पूनम सिंह स्टेडियम दर्शकों से खचाखच भरा था।
विश्वविख्यात मरु महोत्सव के पहले दिन पूनम स्टेडियम में कई रोचक प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन हुआ जिसमें मि. डेसर्ट, मिस मूमल, मूमल-महेन्द्रा और साफा बांधने की प्रतियोगिता मुख्य रही. सफा बांधा प्रतित्योगिता आमजन का खूब मनोरजन भी किया. सबसे प्रतिष्ठित मिस मूमल और मिस्टर डेजर्ट प्रतियोगिता में कई प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया जिसमे जैसलमेर निवासी लक्षिता सोनी को मिस मूमल का ख़िताब हासिल हुआ, वहीं, कृष्णा पारीक मि. डेसर्ट 2021 के खिताब से नवाजे गये।

Sur le chemin de la procession, les habitants de la ville se tenaient chez eux et regardaient. Des fleurs ont été arrosées lors de la célébration de la fête lors de la procession.
