Rajasthan's architecture like Rome!  

                      

The architecture of Rajasthan is like Rome. This may seem somewhat different, but foreign tourists arriving in western Rajasthan from Rome agree about this. In many districts of Rajasthan, such as Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Bikaner, such architecture has passed on foot. The ancient buildings and streets are the same in Rome and Rajasthan.                                                                                               

       Talking about Bikaner alone, many gates including the heart of the place Kotgate, Jassoor Gate remind the artistic doors of stones in Rome. Many foreign tourists who reach here also find harmony like the architecture of their country after reaching here. Horse rider statues are also rich in historical buildings like Bikaner in Rome. In Rome, buildings made of red and yellow stones look like Bikaner. 

          

   Bikaner has statues of Maharajas riding on horse from place to place, while in Rome, the Queen and King can be seen in this way. Apart from this, many buildings also show harmony. According to experts, many scholars and architects, including Rome, England, came to Bikaner in the east. LP of the city of Udine, Italy Tacciatori settled in Bikaner. He used to discuss important issues with Maharaja Ganga Singh. There was also a brainstorm with Tassitori before the state museum was built. 

                                                                             

         The spherical museum reminds me of the Museum of Italy. The streets also look like the winding of the streets between the Rampuria havelis of Bikaner city, similar streets in the city, like the streets of Rome. Lana Dempster, who has visited Bikaner many times from Rome, says that Bikaner also has architectural buildings and streets like its city. However, dense architecture is seen in Bikaner. The work done here with flowers, leaves on red stones is unmatched. While Rome has an architecture with long leaves. Italian work is dominated.

       

        Even though the difference of land and sky, our Maharajas and ancestors may have dreamed of making Bikaner beautiful like Rome and put their whole life in it, but presently there is a difference of land sky in the arrangements of Rome and Bikaner. Bikaner has an empire of filth in place even after being built like Rome, there is no system in markets and public places. This needs more attention so that this beautiful city can have four moons.

रोम की तरह राजस्थान का स्थापत्य!

बीकानेर। रोम की तरह है राजस्थान का स्थापत्य। यह बात भले ही कुछ हटकर लगे, लेकिन रोम से पश्चिमी राजस्थान पहुंचने वाले विदेशी सैलानी इस बारे में सहमति जताते हैं। राजस्थान के अनेक जिलों में जैसे जोधपुर, जयपुर, उदयपुर, जैसलमेर व बीकानेर में ऐसा स्थापत्य पग-पग पर पसरा है। प्राचीन इमारतें व गलियां रोम व राजस्थान में एक ही जैसी है। केवल बात बीकानेर की करें तो यहां का हृदय स्थल कोटगेट, जस्सूसर गेट सहित अनेक द्वार रोम में पत्थरों के कलात्मक दरवाजों की याद दिलवाते हैं। यहां पहुंचने वाले अनेक विदेशी सैलानी भी यहां पहुंचने के बाद अपने देश के स्थापत्य की तरह सामंजस्य पाते हैं। 

अश्व सवार प्रतिमाएं

रोम में भी बीकानेर की तरह ऐतिहासिक इमारतों की भरमार है। रोम में लाल व पीले पत्थरों से बनी इमारतें बीकानेर की तरह दिखाई देती है। बीकानेर में जगह-जगह अश्व पर सवार महाराजाओं की प्रतिमाएं हैं वहीं रोम में वहां की महारानी  व किंग को इस तरह देखा जा सकता है। इसके अलावा अनेक इमारतों में भी सामंजस्यता दिखाई देती है। जानकारों की मानें तो रोम, इंग्लैण्ड सहित अनेक विद्वानों व वास्तुकारों का बीकानेर आगमन पूर्व में रहा। इटली के उदीने शहर के एल.पी. टैस्सीटोरी तो बीकानेर में ही रच-बस गए।  वे महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर महाराजा गंगासिंह से चर्चा करते थे। राजकीय संग्रहालय के निर्माण से पहले टैस्सीटोरी के साथ मंथन भी हुआ। गोलाकार म्युजियम इटली के म्युजियम की याद दिलवाता है।

गलियां भी मिलती-जुलती

बीकानेर शहर की रामपुरिया हवेलियों के बीच गलियों का घुमाव, शहर में जगह-जगह आपस में मिलती-जुलती गलियां, रोम की गलियों की तरह दिखाई देती है।  रोम से अनेक बार बीकानेर आ चुकी लाना डेम्पस्टर का कहना है कि बीकानेर में भी उसके शहर की तरह स्थापत्य इमारतें व गलियां है। हालांकि बीकानेर में सघन स्थापत्य देखने को मिलता है। यहां लाल पत्थरों पर फूल, पत्तियां सहित जो कार्य हुआ है वह बेमिसाल है। जबकि रोम में लम्बी पत्तियां युक्त स्थापत्य मिलता है। इटालियन वर्क का बोलबाला है।

 

फिर भी जमीन-आसमान का अन्तर

        हमारे महाराजाओं व पूर्वजों ने भले ही रोम की तरह बीकानेर को खूबसूरत बनाने का सपना संजोया हो और अपना पूरा जीवन ही इसमें लगा दिया हो, लेकिन वर्तमान में रोम व बीकानेर की व्यवस्थाओं में जमीन आसमान का अंतर है।  बीकानेर में रोम की तरह स्थापत्य होने के बाद भी जगह-जगह गन्दगी का साम्राज्य है बाजार व सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर किसी तरह की व्यवस्था नहीं है। इस पर अधिक ध्यान दिए जाने की आवश्यकता है ताकि इस खूबसूरत शहर में चार चांद लग सके।
